An unfortunate accident unfolded in Madhya Pradesh's Damoh district as a police team was struck by a train during a body removal operation on railway tracks, resulting in severe injuries.
The mishap occurred near the Karaiya Bhadoli railway station on Sunday evening when Assistant Sub-Inspector Rajendra Mishra, investigating the death of two individuals allegedly after a fall from a train, was critically injured.
Superintendent of Police Shrut Kirti Somvanshi reported that Mishra's right arm was severed in the collision, while police vehicle driver Yawar Khan was also hurt. Both were immediately transferred to Jabalpur hospital and may be moved by air-ambulance if necessary.
