In an intense 27-hour operation near the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir, security forces have successfully neutralized three terrorists. The confrontation, which began on Monday morning, witnessed the coordinated efforts of the army, special forces, NSG commandos, and police.

After an initial encounter on Monday, where one terrorist was killed by the evening, the remaining two were cornered and eliminated early Tuesday near the Assan temple in the Jogwan village. This operation marks a tactical win and resulted in the recovery of war-like stores.

The confrontation featured use of BMP-II infantry vehicles and aerial surveillance. Sadly, a valiant army dog named Phantom lost its life. This episode is the latest in a series of surges in terrorist activity across Kashmir, with several attacks recorded in recent weeks.
