Security operations in Jammu and Kashmir's Kishtwar district are ramping up, as forces intensify their search for terrorists hidden within the dense Keshwan forests. The operation comes in the wake of a tragic encounter that left an Army officer and two Village Defence Guards dead.
Since Thursday, security personnel have been scouring the area, facing the immense challenge of navigating difficult terrain and thick foliage. The joint operations follow the abduction and execution of two VDGs, which prompted a relentless pursuit of justice.
Officials report that three to four terrorists remain entrenched in the area, prompting an ongoing, extensive effort to neutralize the threat. The operation continues as security forces work to eliminate these individuals amidst hostile conditions.
