The Kolkata Police are delving into an alarming case of cyber intrusion, following reports of an obscene video being allegedly live-streamed from a courtroom of Calcutta High Court during a session on Monday. This perturbing incident unfolded during Justice Subhasish Samanta's hearing in the vacation bench at courtroom number 7.

A Kolkata Police officer confirmed that their cybercrime section has initiated an in-depth investigation after a formal complaint was lodged by the high court's IT department late on Monday evening. The complaint alerted officials to the brazen breach that shocked the court staff and those present during the hearing.

'The investigation is ongoing. Our objective is to untangle how this breach was executed and identify those responsible,' an official told PTI. The High Court's IT arm first scrambled to understand the breach's nature and extent before directing the grievance to law enforcement for further action.
