Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah paid a visit to the grieving family of Dr Shahnawaz Dar, who was tragically killed in a terrorist attack in Ganderbal. In a gesture of support, the Chief Minister announced that a government job will be provided to one of the family members.

Additionally, Abdullah assured the family that the state would cover all expenses for the civil services education and training of Dr Dar's son, who aspires to become an officer. This move aims to offer hope and future opportunities to the bereaved family.

During his visit to Naidgam village in Budgam, Abdullah expressed his condolences and pledged state support, vowing that the void left by Dr Dar's death would be met with unwavering assistance. He instructed the Budgam Deputy Commissioner to expedite relief measures under SRO-43 and other schemes immediately.
