Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has underscored the paramount importance of securing vital infrastructure projects across the Union Territory. Sinha has mandated that the safety of workers and officers on these projects be a top government priority.
In response to a recent deadly terror attack at a tunnel construction site in Gagangir, Ganderbal district, which resulted in seven fatalities, Sinha directed coordinated counter-terrorism operations. The attack, carried out by unidentified terrorists, highlighted ongoing security concerns in the region.
Sinha visited the site to meet with officers and workers, issuing directives to strengthen the security grid and ensure zero incidents. He stressed stricter access controls and regular site patrols to advance social and economic development amid ongoing threats.
