In a significant address, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh lauded the Indian Army as a vital and trusted organization, commending its efforts in border security, counter-terrorism, and support to civil administrations. Speaking at the Army Commanders Conference, Singh highlighted the Army's role in executing Prime Minister Modi's 'Defence and Security' vision.

Despite weather challenges preventing his visit to Sikkim, Singh engaged virtually from Sukma, West Bengal, underlining the Army's strategic importance and its evolution to include hybrid warfare strategies. He praised the synergy between the Army and police forces in Jammu and Kashmir, attributing regional peace to their operations.

Celebrating infrastructural progress, Singh highlighted the Border Roads Organisation's achievements and the Army's diplomacy and sporting contributions. The conference featured discussions on restructuring and human resource management, with Singh inaugurating the Prerna Sthal memorial park, honoring soldiers who perished in a recent natural disaster.
