A gruesome turn of events unfolded in Madhya Pradesh's Khargone district as the half-burnt, decomposed body of missing Maharashtra builder Kishore Lokre was discovered in a remote forested area. The revelation has prompted officials to suspect foul play.

Lokre, who hailed from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar in Maharashtra, went missing on September 17. He was last located in the Deshgaon area of Khandwa district before all communications were cut. His disappearance led his family to report him missing on October 3.

The authorities confirmed that Lokre was most likely strangled to death, and an attempt had been made to burn the body to hide evidence. The Sanawad police have registered a murder case as investigations continue. Police sources revealed that Lokre had a curiosity for treasure hunting, adding a layer of mystery to the case.
