A shocking case in Vadodara has led to the arrest of five men charged with allegedly raping a 16-year-old girl. The key accused rented homes that were constructed illegally, stated local authorities, who have issued show-cause notices to their landlords.
Among those arrested are Munna Vanzara, Mumtaj Vanzara, and Shahrukh Vanzara, detained since October 7. Two others, Ajmal Sattar and Saif Ali, were apprehended later. All suspects hail originally from Uttar Pradesh and have been living in the area for over a decade.
The civic body emphasizes these rented accommodations were built without official permission, leading to notices demanding clarification. The shocking incident, occurring amid Navratri festivities, raises serious concerns about nighttime safety, notably for women.
