Tripura's Tribal Areas Boosted with Rs 30 Crore Push

In a significant step for Tripura's indigenous communities, the state cabinet, led by Chief Minister Manik Saha, sanctioned Rs 30 crore for the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC). This funding aims to implement six vital development projects in the region.
The projects include expanding a hospital in Khumulwng, West Tripura, at a cost of Rs 10 crore, and constructing an auditorium in the Gomati district. This initiative follows the March 2024 Tiprasa accord aimed at resolving challenges faced by the state's indigenous people.
Tipra Motha leader Pradyot Kishore Manikya Debbarma expressed gratitude towards the chief minister for addressing the needs of the TTAADC. With recent flood damage, he urged the central government for more financial support to ensure transparency and development, highlighting the region's sensitive status.
