In a significant move against cybercrime, the Telangana Cyber Security Bureau (TGCSB) has arrested 27 cyber fraudsters during a special operation in Rajasthan. The operation, led by TGCSB Director Shikha Goel, targeted individuals involved in more than 189 cybercrime cases in Telangana and 2,223 cases across India.

Four TGCSB teams were stationed in Rajasthan's Jaipur, Jodhpur, and Nagaur over the last fortnight to execute this 'Zero Tolerance' policy initiative. This marked the first large-scale interstate operation by the TGCSB's newly formed Special Operations Wing, aimed at centralizing efforts to curb cybercrimes.

Authorities seized 31 mobile phones, 37 SIM cards, 13 ATM cards, seven chequebooks, and multiple documents, revealing Rs 11 crore in suspicious transactions. Investigations into the involvement of bank officials are also ongoing. TGCSB vows to continue such operations to ensure a Cyber-safe Telangana.
