A 27-year-old man and his friend allegedly created chaos at a civic-run hospital in Mumbai, disrupting an on-duty doctor's responsibilities, police reported on Tuesday.
An FIR has been registered against Ritesh Tayde (27) and Rupesh Wankhede under the Maharashtra Medical Practitioners Act based on a complaint by a doctor at Shatabdi Hospital in Govandi on Monday night.
Police stated that Tayde had been examined for fever and was given medicine, with instructions to return the next day for follow-up.
However, Tayde and Wankhede came back on Monday night. Tayde was evaluated by another doctor who advised him to return on Tuesday for a blood sample. This led to an argument with the on-duty medical officer, and they gathered four to five people at the scene. Wankhede began recording a video and verbally insulted a security guard who intervened. The duo fled when hospital staff contacted the police.
Authorities are currently investigating the incident.
