Maharashtra CM Orders Action Over Sexual Harassment Allegations at Nair Hospital

Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde has ordered the transfer of the dean of Mumbai's BYL Nair Hospital after an associate professor was suspended for allegedly sexually harassing a medical student. A detailed probe and increased security measures are also being implemented.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has intervened in the sexual harassment case at Mumbai's BYL Nair Hospital, ordering the transfer of the hospital's dean.

This follows the suspension of an associate professor accused of sexually harassing a medical student last month.

Shinde has also asked BMC commissioner Bhushan Gagrani to form a committee for a detailed investigation and bolster security for staff and students.
