The Delhi High Court has instructed the removal of a controversial video disparaging the nutritional drink Complan. The court criticized social media influencer Prashant Desai, who has a substantial following online, for making unfounded statements about the product's sugar content.

Justice Saurabh Banerjee highlighted that Desai, without any professional qualifications in health or nutrition, violated Advertising Standards Council of India (ASCI) guidelines by posting health-related content. The court emphasized that influencers should have relevant expertise before making public health assertions.

The court also mandated that Desai remove the video within two weeks from all social media platforms and refrained from further defamatory statements against Complan. The order came after Zydus Wellness Products Ltd argued that Desai's claims were baseless and infringed upon its trademark.
