The victim, identified as Tapashwi Kumar, was attacked in the Mandal Tola locality of Vasudevpur. Following the crime, the perpetrators fled the scene. Kumar was rushed to the nearest hospital but succumbed to his injuries.

The district police have initiated an investigation and a manhunt to capture the suspects responsible for the shooting.
