A 29-year-old man in Denmark is now facing 86 preliminary charges for high-speed motorcycle riding and endangering others, officials said on Friday. Authorities revealed that the individual had a camera mounted on his helmet, capturing hours of reckless driving footage.
"I don't think I've ever seen anything like it," remarked Amrik Singh Chadha of the eastern Denmark police. Chadha noted the investigation was both extensive and unconventional. The man was initially detained in May for riding without license plates and a valid permit, and police discovered the incriminating footage on his helmet camera.
The footage further linked him to 38 additional reckless driving offenses, speeding over 100% above the limit, and other endangering behaviors. In Denmark, driving recklessly can lead to hefty fines, license suspension, and vehicle confiscation. The man's postings on social media helped identify two others, whose vehicles were also seized. The man is likely to face a prison sentence.
