Police are investigating the disappearance of CCTV footage from a bar visited by Maharashtra BJP chief Chandrashekhar Bawankule's son Sanket and his friends before a major car crash. The missing footage is from the time when they were at La Horee Bar on Sunday night.

The incident occurred early Monday when Sanket's Audi, driven by his friend Arjun Hawre, collided with several vehicles, injuring two people on a moped. Occupants of another vehicle chased down the Audi and apprehended Hawre and a companion, Ronit Chittwamwar. Police arrested Hawre, who was later released on bail.

The bar management initially refused to hand over the CCTV footage but complied after being threatened with legal action. The Digital Video Recorder has been sent for forensic analysis. Further investigation is underway.
