In Maharashtra's Thane district, an escaped pet dog sparked a heated altercation between two neighbors, according to police reports on Thursday. The incident unfolded on Tuesday in Ambernath, leading both families to lodge complaints against each other.
The canine, left with a family for care by their relatives, managed to slip into a neighbor's house, provoking an immediate confrontation. Assistant Police Inspector Srirang Gosavi noted that the neighbor questioned the caretakers’ ability to manage the dog.
The dispute quickly escalated, culminating in property damage and verbal insults. Following the incident, both parties filed cross-complaints, and FIRs were registered under sections 115(2), 324(4), and 352 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
