CBI Intensifies Probe Into RG Kar Hospital Case
CBI officers conducted another round of questioning of arrested accused Sanjoy Roy in connection with the RG Kar hospital case. The investigation is focused on the rape-murder of a woman medic. Additional interrogation included four junior doctors and senior police officials as part of the ongoing investigation.

CBI officers intensified their investigation on Wednesday, focusing on arrested accused Sanjoy Roy in the RG Kar hospital case. This latest round of questioning was conducted at the Presidency Correctional Home, relating to the rape-murder of a woman medic at the state-run hospital.
In a parallel effort, another team from the central probe agency interrogated four junior doctors. Later, senior police officials, including Kolkata Police Deputy Commissioner (North) Abhishek Gupta and Detective Department Special Deputy Commissioner Vidit Raj Bhundesh, were also questioned on their handling of the initial probe.
The case initially broke on August 9, when the body of a woman postgraduate trainee doctor was discovered in a seminar hall at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital. The following day, a Kolkata Police civic volunteer was arrested in connection with the crime.
