Life Imprisonment for Man Who Killed Friend Over Money
A Special Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Court has sentenced Naveen Vaishnav to life imprisonment for murdering his friend Raju alias Rajkumar five years ago to rob him. Vaishnav bludgeoned Raju to death after seeing him withdraw money from an ATM. Evidence including CCTV footage led to his conviction.

A Special Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Court has sentenced 37-year-old Naveen Vaishnav to life imprisonment for killing his friend Raju alias Rajkumar five years ago in a botched robbery, special public prosecutor Hitesh Jain announced.
Vaishnav, a resident of Sangod area, saw Raju withdrawing money from an ATM and later lured him to a nearby forest where he bludgeoned him to death. He stole Raju's money, ATM card, and other belongings before dumping his body in a drain.
The decomposed body was discovered three days later, prompting an investigation that included analysis of CCTV footage and bank transactions. Vaishnav has been imprisoned since his arrest, according to Jain.
