In a distressing incident in Thane, Maharashtra, a 24-year-old man is accused of molesting an 11-year-old girl. The police reported the event took place on Monday night while the girl was playing outside her residence in the Chitalsar Manpada area.
The accused allegedly approached the young girl under a false pretext, grabbed her hand, and touched her inappropriately. This alarming episode was confirmed by a police official on Tuesday.
A case has been registered against the man at Kapurbawdi police station. He faces charges under section 76 of the Indian Penal Code, which pertains to assault with intent to disrobe a woman, and provisions of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
