The Additional Sessions Judge Ashwani Kumar's court imposed a fine of Rs 40,000 on the 24-year-old convict, linked to a three-year-old rape case. The accused, Vinod from Mathura district, had been in custody since his arrest following a complaint by the victim's father in 2021.
The police investigation team collected all necessary evidence and witnesses, culminating in the court's ruling under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. The police spokesperson emphasized the role of thorough investigation and presented evidence in securing the conviction.
