Samajwadi Party members in Banda have approached the district magistrate with a memorandum addressed to President Droupadi Murmu. The document urges the president to intervene and repatriate Shahzadi, a local woman facing execution in the UAE.

Dr. Madhusudan Kushwaha, the party's district president, stated that hundreds of signatures from local party workers had been gathered. They demand Shahzadi's release from Abu Dhabi, claiming her innocence in the murder of a four-month-old child.

Kushwaha called for the Indian government to discuss the matter with Abu Dhabi crown prince Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who is currently visiting India. Shahzadi's father, Shabbir, has also pleaded for presidential and prime ministerial intervention to save his daughter.
