In a turn of tragic events, Shahzadi, a 29-year-old woman from Banda district in Uttar Pradesh, may face execution in the UAE after September 20. Shahzadi has been imprisoned in Abu Dhabi for an extended period, following charges of murdering a four-month-old child.

Her father, Shabbir, has made a fervent appeal to President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi to intervene and save his daughter's life. Shabbir, residing in Goira Mughlai village, claimed Shahzadi informed him via a distressing call on Sunday about her dire situation.

Shabbir contends that his daughter was deceived by Uzair, a resident of Agra, into traveling to Dubai for treatment in November 2021, where she was later implicated in the child's murder. Despite an FIR being lodged in July 2024, Shabbir alleges a lack of investigation from local authorities.
