The Supreme Court on Monday dismissed a plea filed by TMC leader Abhishek Banerjee and his wife Rujira Banerjee challenging an Enforcement Directorate (ED) summons. The summons is part of an ED investigation into an alleged scam concerning school jobs in West Bengal.

A bench consisting of Justices Bela Trivedi and Satish Chandra Sharma delivered the verdict, which had been reserved on August 13.

The Banerjees contended that the ED should conduct the questioning at their residence in Kolkata instead of requiring them to appear in New Delhi.
