Man Arrested for Allegedly Drugging and Raping Woman in Uttar Pradesh

The Uttar Pradesh Police have arrested a man, Bobby Gupta, for allegedly drugging and raping a 19-year-old woman. The incident occurred in the Usaihat area, where Gupta supposedly forced the victim to consume a sedative before assaulting her. The victim reported the crime to the police on September 7.

The Uttar Pradesh Police have apprehended a man on charges of drugging and raping a 19-year-old woman in the Usaihat area, officials reported on Sunday.

According to the police complaint filed by the woman, the accused, Bobby Gupta, took her to his house at gunpoint on September 2. She alleged that he then coerced her into consuming a sedative before sexually assaulting her.

The victim managed to escape and informed her family, who subsequently approached the police on September 7. Senior Superintendent of Police Brajesh Singh confirmed that Gupta has been remanded to judicial custody following his arrest.
