A police sub-inspector (PSI) in Hudkeshwar has alleged assault by local BJP MLA Mohan Mate and several others. PSI Shyam Kanojia claims the MLA, along with his landlord and supporters, confronted and abused him. Kanojia's complaint mentions being grabbed by the collar and assaulted.

MLA Mate, on the other hand, accused Kanojia of shielding wrongdoers and stated his intention to report the matter to the police commissioner. Mate mentioned that while visiting the site of a dilapidated house following residents' complaints, Kanojia stood near his vehicle with an iron rod and instigated a physical altercation.

An official from the Hudkeshwar police station confirmed an ongoing probe and noted that according to Kanojia's landlord, the PSI has not vacated the house for a year. The official, however, reported no signs of physical assault, only a verbal confrontation.
