Three Arrested in Bihar for Taking Rs 10,000 Bribe Over Helmet Violation

Three individuals, including two police constables, have been arrested in Nawada, Bihar, for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000 from a motorcycle rider who was not wearing a helmet. The arrests were confirmed by a police statement issued on Friday.
The constables reportedly instructed the rider to transfer the bribe amount to the bank account of a third person, who was also apprehended. According to a statement by the Nawada police, the incident occurred after the motorcycle rider filed a complaint with the district police on Thursday.
The complainant alleged that the constables demanded the bribe to overlook the helmet violation. Following the complaint, a case was registered, and an investigation initiated. It was confirmed by a senior police official that the accused public servants accepted the bribe.
