Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for five development projects worth Rs 635 crore in Sonbarsa. Addressing the attendees, he emphasized that development and security are crucial for a prosperous future for current and future generations. He urged attendees to support government initiatives for a better future.

Adityanath announced that entrepreneurship would flourish only with development. He revealed plans to provide interest-free loans to the youth in two phases to set up enterprises, with up to Rs 5 lakh in the first phase and Rs 10 lakh in the second phase. Under this scheme, the government will cover the interest, and the youth will repay only the principal amount. He also ordered the construction of four-lane roads and a new police station in Sonbarsa, ensuring houses are not demolished and providing four-times compensation for expropriated land value. He encouraged villagers to invest the compensation money in remote farms to start new ventures.

Adityanath lauded India's progress under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, stating the country has emerged as a global powerhouse and the fifth-largest economy, with aspirations to become the third-largest within three years. He affirmed Uttar Pradesh's significant role in this growth.

Reflecting on past challenges, Adityanath noted significant improvements in the state, citing the eradication of diseases like encephalitis and reduction in crime. He highlighted that Gorakhpur has transformed from a neglected region to a destination visited by the nation's highest officials, including the President, Vice President, and Prime Minister.
