Former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi to take immediate action to restore peace in Manipur and to personally visit the state. Gehlot criticized the central government's handling of the ongoing violence, stating that the situation has been met with insufficient attention.

Gehlot highlighted that the governor's residence and the chief minister's house have been repeatedly attacked, demonstrating the severity of the crisis. He noted that civilians are being targeted with advanced weaponry and drones, emphasizing the urgent need for intervention.

Drawing a parallel to former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi's actions in Assam, Gehlot urged Modi not to delay any longer. He pointed out that opposition parties, including Rahul Gandhi, are unified in demanding the prime minister's involvement in establishing peace in Manipur.
