Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has pledged his government's unwavering commitment to deliver justice in the 2015 desecration of the Sikh holy book, Guru Granth Sahib. Mann made this statement following the assembly discussion initiated by Kunwar Vijay Pratap Singh, an MLA from his party.

During the assembly session, Mann revealed that his administration has uncovered significant new evidence on the sacrilege incidents, and a fresh report is in the pipeline. 'We have many clues,' Mann informed the legislators.

Emphasizing the state's intent, Mann criticized previous governments for their lax handling of the case. He assured that the current government would ensure all culprits, including those indirectly involved, face severe legal consequences. Incidents leading to anti-sacrilege protests and police firing in Faridkot in 2015 were also detailed during the assembly session.
