Holding placards and shouting slogans, they showed their solidarity. Following the human chain, participants joined a rally for the victim.

The postgraduate trainee's body was discovered in RG Kar Medical College's seminar room on August 9, igniting nationwide protests. A civic volunteer was arrested shortly after the incident, and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) also detained former principal Sandip Ghosh for alleged financial misconduct.
