Five Bangladeshi Nationals Apprehended at Assam Border
Five Bangladeshi nationals, including four women, were caught and sent back from Karimganj, Assam. Assam Police nabbed them while they were entering from Tripura. Increased vigilance is being maintained along the Indo-Bangladesh border to prevent illegal infiltration.

Five Bangladeshi nationals, including four women, were apprehended and pushed back from Assam's Karimganj district on Wednesday, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma reported.
According to the chief minister, the individuals were nabbed by Assam Police while attempting to enter Karimganj from neighboring Tripura.
'Our @assampolice personnel are maintaining constant vigil along the Indo-Bangladesh border and alert to thwart infiltration attempts,' Sarma posted on 'X'.
'The apprehended Bangladeshi nationals are Afroja Jahirul Sardar, Tumpa Haque, Ridoy Sk, Akhi Sk, and Lakhipur Akhtar,' Sarma added.
The Border Security Force (BSF) has intensified its monitoring along the 1,885-km India-Bangladesh border in the North East due to recent turmoil in Bangladesh.
The Assam Police is also on high alert to ensure no illegal entry into the state, Director General of Police G P Singh stated.
