Optimum Invest Responds to Former Central Bank Governor's Arrest

The CEO of Lebanon's Optimum Invest disclosed that the firm was not present at Tuesday's court hearing concerning its interactions with former central bank governor Riad Salameh. Following the session, Salameh was arrested on financial crime charges related to the company.
Reine Abboud informed Reuters that the company learned of Salameh's arrest through media reports. She added that a financial audit conducted earlier this year on their dealings with the central bank revealed no evidence of misconduct by Optimum Invest.
