FIR Filed Against Bangladeshi Journalist for Alleged Misinformation on Gandhi Family
Bengaluru Police have registered an FIR against Bangladeshi journalist Salah Uddin Shoaib Choudhury and Indian news portal staffer Aditi for allegedly spreading fake news about Rahul and Sonia Gandhi. The complaint by a Karnataka Congress member accuses Choudhury of spreading misinformation to malign the Gandhi family's image.

Bengaluru Police have filed an FIR against Bangladeshi journalist Salah Uddin Shoaib Choudhury and a female staffer, Aditi, from an Indian news portal for allegedly disseminating false information about Rahul and Sonia Gandhi.
The case, lodged at High Grounds police station, follows a complaint by Srinivas G of the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee. He alleges that Choudhury's social media post linked Sonia Gandhi to a foreign spy agency in an attempt to tarnish their public image and incite religious enmity.
A senior police officer confirmed charges under sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita related to promoting enmity and circulating false information. An ongoing investigation will determine further action.
