Manhunt in Maharashtra: Police Pursue Suspect in Grisly Murders
Police in Maharashtra’s Thane district are searching for Rajpal Ramcharan Gautam, 23, suspected of killing Indrajit Deepakkumar Gautam with scissors. They are also investigating the murder of Damodar Kondiba Pagde, 52, whose body was found with wounds caused by sharp weapons. Law enforcement in Maharashtra's Thane district are conducting an intensive manhunt for a suspect, Rajpal Ramcharan Gautam, aged 23, believed to have fatally stabbed Indrajit Deepakkumar Gautam with a pair of scissors, authorities reported on Sunday.
In another violent incident, Mumbra police announced a murder investigation following the discovery of a 52-year-old man, Damodar Kondiba Pagde, who had been reported missing and was found with severe wounds inflicted by sharp weapons. It remains uncertain if the victims knew their assailants.
Initially filed as a missing person case, Pagde's case has now been escalated to a murder and kidnapping investigation, invoking Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) sections 103(1) and 137(2), officials confirmed.
