NIA Nabs Key Conspirator Aiming to Radicalize Youth for Islamic Caliphate

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has apprehended Aziz Ahamed, a pivotal figure in an international scheme to radicalize youth and establish an Islamic caliphate in India, according to an official release on Saturday.
Ahamed, also known by aliases Aziz Ahmed and Jaleel Aziz Ahmed, was captured on Friday at Bengaluru international airport while attempting to escape the country, the NIA disclosed.
The NIA's investigation revealed that the apprehended suspect had led secret 'Bayaans', or religious discourses, designed to indoctrinate young, impressionable minds with the extremist principles of the Hizb-ut-Tahrir. This organization seeks to establish an Islamic caliphate through fundamentally radical ideologies and seeks military support from entities opposed to India.
