Three individuals were apprehended for allegedly impersonating a bureaucrat and modifying their vehicle to resemble a police car at New Delhi's Indira Gandhi International (IGI) airport, officials stated on Friday.

According to a Delhi Police officer, the incident came to light on Wednesday at 2:30 PM when a Scorpio vehicle displaying 'POLICE' on its windscreens, equipped with a beacon and siren, was spotted parked outside the Domestic Airport police station.

Upon questioning, the individuals identified themselves as Mozzam Ali Khan Afridi, Sajjan Kumar, and Manish Vashisth, presenting IDs from the Divisional Commissioner's office in Delhi. Further inspection revealed the IDs were forged and the vehicle had been modified to imitate a police car. A police case has been registered under multiple sections, and investigations are ongoing to understand the full extent of their motives.
