A Delhi Police head constable reportedly shot himself with his service pistol on Friday inside Paharganj Police Station, an official revealed. He is currently receiving medical care, and his condition remains critical.

According to a senior police officer, the incident occurred at approximately 2 pm, when Head Constable Surendra inflicted a gunshot wound to his head in the barracks of the station.

Surendra, a resident of Rewari, Haryana, has had his family informed about the tragic event. Authorities have stated that an inquiry into the matter is currently in progress.
