Assistant Registrar Nabbed in Rs 1 Lakh Bribery Case
An Assistant Registrar from Medchal Malkajgiri was caught accepting a Rs 1 lakh bribe by the Anti-Corruption Bureau. The bribe was taken to favor cases against a complainant's family related to a Co-operative Urban Bank Ltd. The investigation is ongoing.

An Assistant Registrar working at the Deputy Registrar's office of Cooperative Societies in Medchal Malkajgiri district was apprehended by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Thursday for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 1 lakh.
The Assistant Registrar is accused of demanding and receiving the bribe from a complainant in exchange for issuing a favorable outcome in cases filed by a Co-operative Urban Bank Ltd against the complainant's family members and his friend, according to an ACB release.
The suspect is alleged to have carried out his official duties ''improperly and dishonestly''. The bribe amount was subsequently recovered from him, and an investigation is currently proceeding.
