High-ranking officials from China and the U.S. convened to plan a new round of discussions between their respective leaders, Chinese state media reported on Wednesday. This follows a meeting between China's foreign minister, Wang Yi, and U.S. national security adviser Jake Sullivan.
Additionally, both countries agreed to schedule video calls between their militaries when the time is suitable, according to a report on the meetings held in Beijing earlier this week.
'The key to the smooth development of China-U.S. interaction lies in treating each other as equals,' stated Wang Yi, as per CCTV.
