Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Singapore on Wednesday to a warm reception from the Indian diaspora. Demonstrating his engagement with the community, PM Modi played a 'dhol' while the crowd cheered.

At Changai airport, Modi was received by key officials, including Indian High Commissioner to Singapore Shilpak Ambule and Singapore's High Commissioner to India, Simon Wong. During his visit, Modi and Singapore's Deputy Prime Minister Lawrence Wong plan to review the India-Singapore Strategic Partnership and discuss mutual regional and global issues, according to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA).

Modi is scheduled to meet Singapore President Tharman Shanmugaratnam and other leaders, as well as business figures, to further bilateral ties. Prior to Singapore, Modi visited Brunei, where he held extensive talks with Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah to strengthen bilateral relations, focusing on defense, trade, and cultural exchanges.
