Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday met with Singapore's President Tharman Shanmugaratnam to discuss avenues for expanding and deepening bilateral cooperation.
Modi, on a two-day visit to the city-state, arrived on Wednesday for his fifth official visit. The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal noted that the talks were fruitful, emphasizing the passionate support from President Tharman.
Modi also held discussions with his counterpart Lawrence Wong, agreeing to elevate bilateral ties to a comprehensive strategic partnership. Additionally, he met former Singapore premier Lee Hsien Loong to explore collaboration in green energy and FinTech sectors.
