Severed Body Found on Mula River Banks Sparks Investigation
A woman's decapitated and dismembered body was discovered on the banks of the Mula river in Pune city. Police are investigating the case, which has been registered under murder and evidence tampering sections. They are also checking missing person's complaints to ascertain her identity.

In a gruesome discovery, a woman's headless and dismembered body was found along the banks of the Mula river in Pune city, police reported on Tuesday.
An official from the Chandannagar area revealed that the control room was alerted about the body around 11 am on Monday. Preliminary investigations show that the woman was decapitated and her limbs were severed from the shoulders and hip joints.
The body has been sent for post-mortem, and a case has been registered under sections 103 (murder) and 238 (causing the disappearance of evidence) of the Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita. The police are working to identify the woman and are examining missing person's reports.
