Aditya Avinash Sood and Ashish Satish Mittal were remanded in judicial custody on Monday by a court in Pune last week. Both were arrested in connection with the May 19 Porsche car crash.
The crash involved a minor driving under the influence, resulting in the deaths of two IT professionals from Madhya Pradesh. Investigators revealed that blood samples were swapped to mislead the investigation.
Judge U M Mudholkar remanded Sood and Mittal despite prosecution requests for extended police custody, claiming conspiracy with other accused, including the juvenile's parents and several doctors. The court heard arguments about potential financial transactions among the accused.
