The suspects, Aaquib Khalife and Nikhil Raje, were taken into custody at a petrol pump in Anjuna on Saturday, the official revealed.
Khalife, from Ratnagiri (Maharashtra), and Raje, from Pune, allegedly killed Deodita Fernandes over a dispute involving the sale of her Calangute property. The victim was discovered dead in her Naikwado apartment last Friday.
A dedicated police team collected local intelligence, leading to the duo's arrest. The accused transferred money from Fernandes' bank account to theirs and were withdrawing cash when apprehended.
