Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday highlighted the urgency of accelerating the campaign against Left Wing Extremism (LWE). Speaking at a review meeting in Nava Raipur, he stressed the importance of halting the financing and supply of weapons to Naxal groups.

Strategy discussions included tackling LWE, enhancing inter-state coordination, and boosting the capacity of security forces. Shah asserted that the campaign is at a critical juncture and promised to eradicate the extremism menace by March 2026.

Shah urged Chief Secretaries of affected states to review development works fortnightly and advocated for the National Investigation Agency to handle inter-state Naxal cases. He called for flexible yet monitored surrender policies for Naxals and a firm but humble approach to counter extremist ideologies.
