Alleged Criminal Detained Under Public Safety Act in Samba District

Sourav Slathia, a resident of Garh Mandi village in Vijaypur, Jammu and Kashmir, has been detained under the stringent Public Safety Act due to his threat to public peace. The police acted on a detailed dossier that highlighted his repeated criminal activities.

In a significant move to ensure public safety, Jammu and Kashmir police detained Sourav Slathia under the stringent Public Safety Act (PSA). The detention occurred in the Samba district on Saturday, according to officials.

Slathia, hailing from Garh Mandi village in Vijaypur, has been posing a serious threat to public peace and tranquillity. Consequently, he was detained under PSA and sent to district jail Kathua, as per a police spokesperson.

The police prepared a detailed dossier that led the district magistrate of Samba to issue the detention order, citing Slathia's repeated involvement in criminal activities.
