A violent altercation between two groups in Nalasopara, Palghar district, has left one person dead and four others injured, a police official confirmed on Saturday.

The confrontation erupted late Friday night in the Santosh Bhuvan locality due to previous enmity, according to Tulinj police.

Both groups allegedly wielded sharp weapons during the fight. A man named Deepak Pal lost his life, while four individuals from both sides sustained injuries. Authorities have registered a case involving rioting, unlawful assembly with arms, and murder, though no arrests have been made so far.
