On Friday, seven civilians sustained injuries from Israeli strikes on Syria's central region, the Syrian defence ministry announced.
Over the years, Israel has targeted Iran-aligned locations in Syria, citing Tehran's growing influence since its support of President Bashar al-Assad in the 2011 civil war. The attacks have significantly increased since the Gaza conflict reignited last October.
The Syrian defence ministry reported that some of the Israeli rockets were intercepted. However, the strikes still resulted in injuries and material damage. Israel has not yet commented on the specific incidents.
